The Wellington City Council is developing a Green Network Plan, which would see trees and green space in the city increase over the next 30 years.

It has released the plan and is discussing it at a council meeting this week.

The Council has approved $30 million for the acquisition and development of central
city parks and to enable more street tree planting and parks in the Central City.

Emma Gieson is an expert in developing community spaces from Trees that Count.

In an interview with Wellington Mornings host Nick Mills Gieson makes a cases for the green spend-up.
