The Wellington Firebirds begin the new domestic cricket season by hosting Canterbury in the Ford Trophy at the Basin Reserve on Sunday.
The Firebirds won the four-day Plunket Shield last season, but finished last in the Ford Trophy, and coach Shane Jurgensen outlined the team's plans for the summer ahead to Adam Cooper on the All Sport Breakfast.
