After 36 years of showcasing New Zealand's leading road cyclists, the annual UCI New Zealand Cycle Classic has been cancelled for next year due to high costs and a lack of sponsorship revenue.Â
The event has most recently been held across Wairarapa and Wellington.Â
Event director Jorge Sandoval joined Adam Cooper to explain why the decision has been made, and the impact this will have on the New Zealand cycling scene.Â
