The Premier League title race is over and anyone who thinks anything otherwise is a dreamer.
Yes, there are 14 games left meaning there's 42 points still available, so mathematically nothing can be confirmed just yet, but stick a fork in it this thing is done and won.
And thoroughly deserved might I add too.
There's an old saying in sport that says "the table doesn't lie". Bad luck, biased refs, cruel injuries at crucial times, whatever excuse you want to offer the maths are ultimately all that matters.
City have won 17 of their 24 games, losing just twice, the last loss 12 weeks ago. They've won their last 12 straight scoring 31 goals and conceding just three. They lead the division by 10 points.
Now I am saying all this through seriously gritted teeth. I can't stand Man City. As a United fan, seeing them strolling to the title makes me puke. I refuse to watch a single highlight of theirs, never have, never will. That's what being a psychotic bitter fan of another team does to a man.
However there is still light at the end of the EPL tunnel for all us Red Devils and that is knowing there's not a Liverpool fan on Earth happy with their title defence.
Sky Sports pundit Roy Keane called it 'pathetic' this week. (He only won seven of them, that would he know?). Hard enough to win one, going back to back nigh impossible to achieve. Â
For MC, this will be their third championship in four years. Remarkable consistency overshadowed by their continuous failures in the Champions League. As much as their first PL title was the holy grail for the Scousers, the CL is the same for our noisy neighbours.
Why am I even telling you all this? Simply so that all of us who are hopelessly addicted to teams 12,000 miles from here accept the reality that it's over. The rest of us are either playing for Top Four spots or to avoid the drop.
Man City are Prada, the rest of the league is Ineos. It's just a matter of when.
