As another new year begins, high schools across Auckland are bursting at the seams from unprecedented roll growth.
An uptick in immigration is pushing enrolment numbers higher- and principals are experiencing logistical headaches from the extra stress.
One principal, Ormiston Senior College's Tim Botting, says his school is over capacity by 275 pupils.
"We're able to move into spaces like our café, our library- we've had to make a couple of modifications to some of the building aspects as well, just to allow more seats for the kids."
