The search is on to find thousands of Kiwis who created Gisborne's Millennium wall.
Built in 1999, the wall is made up of tiles featuring the portraits of 6500 children.
Now the Artistic Director of Te Tairawhiti Arts Festival is trying to bring those people together again.
Tama Waipara told Andrew Dickens he wants to create a "living time capsule".
"Although there will be people who created a portrait on that tile wall who aren't around now, 20 years on, we can look back and ask what's your story now."
He says contributors can claim their tile online.
"It's gone gangbusters already. I think we had something like 500 registrations in the first 24 hours, but we've got a way to go yet."
