Chinese demand for Kiwi red meat has spiked as the China-US tariff tit-for-tat continues.
Donald Trump has imposed 145 percent tariffs on China - matched by 125 percent in retaliation.
Affco National Livestock Manager Tom Young says in the past week or so, big players have been asking for large volumes of meat.
But he says we're entering a time of year when supply reduces.
