Country star and Kiwi icon Dame Lynda Topp is throwing her support behind a campaign set to 'rewild' New Zealanders.

Fish & Game New Zealand have launched an awareness campaign designed to get Kiwis back into nature to experience freshwater fishing and hunting.

The campaign is set to promote the benefits of these outdoor activities, including environmental stewardship and conservation, food-gathering and improving mental health and wellbeing.

Dame Lynda Topp joined The Country's Jamie Mackay to encourage experts and novices out into the wild again.
