A midseason Super Rugby litmus test awaits the Blues tonight when they host the Brumbies at Eden Park. 

Both sides have identical six win one loss records, the Blues sitting above the Brumbies on the ladder on points differential. 

Coach Vern Cotter says the Canberra side are one of the more well-rounded teams in the competition. 

Patrick Tuipulotu returns to captain the side having missed the win over the Force with concussion.
