An eight-wicket thrashing for the White Ferns from Australia, in today's Twenty20 cricket series-opener in Auckland.

The New Zealand women made 137 for two, with returning allrounder Amelia Kerr hitting an unbeaten half century.

Opener and wicketkeeper Beth Mooney top-scored with 75 not out.
