BOB CAMPBELL: Wine
Bob's best buy: Lake Hayes 2016 Pinot Noir, Central Otago $30
Pinot Noir is one of our most expensive wines and I don’t usually expect a lot from wines priced at $30 or less. In its price category I think this is a great buy. It certainly out -performed many other far more expensive wines.
I liked it’s delicacy and purity. I found its silken, almost ethereal texture very seductive. It’s a wine that you sip and think “that’s pretty good”, sip again and think “that’s very good”, sip again and think “my glass is empty”. It’s got drinkability. It’s also a versatile and food friendly wine that suits a wide range of foods but is great without the complication of food.
There’s no rush to drink it but I find it hard to believe that it would get much better than it is right now, which is part of its charm. The wine has a screw cap which will extend its life. I’d say drink it now or within the next 4-5 years. It’s the sort of wine that I’d buy by the case hoping to enjoy it for a few years but find that that it’s all gone in a months.

SARAH GANDY: Music
Fall Out Boy 'Mania' - Sarah's verdict: 6 out of 10.
I’ve gotta hand it to Fall Out Boy. At at time when rock is a tough genre they are holding their own. They joined the American Jingle Ball tour last month - it saw them on the same bill as acts like Taylor Swift, Ed Sheeran, the Chainsmokers, and Niall Horan. Fall Out Boy are the oldest act on the bill – and the only rock band. That’s actually not to be sniffed at.
BUT, if you’re wanting rocky and even punky - sounds that this band have owned in the past - you will be a bit disappointed.
