BOB CAMPBELL: Wine
Bob's best buy: Giesen 2017 Gemstone Riesling, Marlborough $19.99
It’s in the top 5% of wines with a recommended retail price of just under $20, in fact if you shop around you might be able to buy it for a few dollars less than that.
It’s a new label from the Giesen brothers who moved here from Germany so they know a bit about Riesling. The wine is delicious. It’s slightly sweet but that’s balanced by tangy acidity, giving the wine a lovely tension and goes well with light spicy Thai curries.
I found it at Vino Fino Wines in Christchurch for the bargain price of $15.99. You can also buy it over the Internet from blackmarket.co.nz for a similar price although you must buy a minimum of six bottles. It’s the sort of wine that might even pop up on supermarket shelves so it’s worth keeping an eye open for it.

ANDREW DICKENS: Music
Marlon Williams 'Make Way for Love' - Andrew's verdict: 9 out of 10
An instant classic. It’s timeless. It could have been recorded anytime in the past 60 years. His voice is high, deep, expressive, strong and tender. The album is a break up album and there are times when the heartbreak becomes overwhelming. But that’s a small quibble for an album made with love, about falling out of love.Â
