Jack Tame opens the show with a musing on joining an indoor football team when he first arrived in New York - "a gang of misfits in some respects." 

He reflects on the people who went on to become the team known as 'Boom.'

The standard of their football was not great, and got worse over time.

But the people involved in the team ended up becoming close friends, and gave Jack a sense of home in the Big Apple.
