Greg O' Connor (former President of NZ Police Association) is seeking to become the Member of Parliament for the Ohariu electorate in Wellington. He intend to use the skills he acquired leading the New Zealand Police Association for 21 years to advocate for the people of Ohariu.

His role in the Police as Executive Chairman, required him to build the business skills and knowledge to lead an organisation with $40 million revenue and with $60 million dollars in assets.

He has also become a very effective advocate, regularly dealing with New Zealand's political, media and business leaders. He was the key leader in the inception and development of an international body, one that now represents 1.5 million Police Officers worldwide.

He sits on boards as diverse as an Intellectual Disability service provider and a farm machinery importer. He is based in Wellington.
