Tom Sainsbury is known as a man of many impressions, alter egos and voices.
The actor and comedian rose to popularity on social media thanks to his many hilarious impressions of well-known politicians and caricatures of everyday kiwis - most notably of Paula Bennett and Simon Bridges.Â
However, Sainsbury admitted to Simon Barnett and Phil Gifford that there is one politician he is unable to impersonate.Â
"Winston Peters has got such a distinct voice, and I've spent hours and hours trying it, but I just can't do it."
He says that he listens to interviews with politicians over and over again in order to pick up on speech patterns and habits of the people he is impersonating.Â
When it comes to negative feedback, Sainsbury says that he has a line that he is happy with and tries not to cross it.Â
