The Government is expected to announce a 'dole for apprenticeship' scheme today.

Building and Construction Industry Training Organisation Chief Executive Warwick Quinn told Mike Hosking this would be a great thing for businesses.

"The early days and first few months certainly cost employers, so it would make taking on apprentices a more economically viable venture."
