A bidding war is on the way for tech talent in New Zealand.
This is according to the annual Robert Walters salary review, which shows the talent pool for technology isn't getting any bigger.
Director of Robert Walters New Zealand, Shay Peters told Mike Hosking we're still learning what tech jobs are out there.
"I still think that we are learning. We are looking at things at a global stage at the moment and things are evolving so fast in other countries so they are a bit ahead of us. We are still learning what's out there and what we can do to approve the job market here."
He said tech workers may get a pay rise out of it.
"One no the things that is going to affect the New Zealand market next year, is really the push to try and push contractors into permanent roles as an organisation."
