Loyalty to Donald Trump could pay off for New Zealand businessman Chris Liddell.
The White House assistant and director of strategic initiatives is tipped to become Trump's top economic adviser.
He's replaced Gary Cohn, who's quit over his opposition to Trump's new steel and aluminium tariffs.
Investment strategist Sam Stovall told Mike Hosking Liddell is an insider, who already has Trump's tick of approval.
"Chris has been in the White House since January of 2017, seems to get along with Jared Kushner as well as John Kelly."
