National's Finance Minister, Steven Joyce and Labour MP, Stuart Nash join Larry Williams for Politics Wednesday.

They doubt Winston Peters' mind is set in stone.

The New Zealand First leader is aiming to pick a side by 12 October, a tight deadline from when final votes are delivered on the 7th.

Steven Joyce said he has no idea what Winston Peters is thinking, but expects he'll be considering the overall balance of government.

Stuart Nash said even if Mr Peters knows what he wants, he's not the only New Zealand First MP.
