Nicola Willis says job losses in the public sector aren't the end of the world.Â
Her comments come as agencies and departments announce cost savings measures, including slashing jobs.Â
The Finance Minister told Mike Hosking that there's too much focus on job cuts in the public service.Â
She claims journalists in Wellington who flat with public servants are partly to blame for a high level of coverage.Â
She also concedes that some public sector agencies may not reach their cost cutting targets.Â
But, Willis told Hosking, she's confident that overall the Government will still receive the full savings.Â
She says it's because in some cases agencies have been able to exceed expectations.Â
