Auckland businesses continue to bleed money.

The retail and hospitality sectors are desperate for the Government to announce an opening date.

The Government will announce more business support by Friday.

Co-owner of Auckland's The Grange Restaurant Mark Wilson, told Mike Hosking they're getting the resurgence payment.

But, he says, come level two, they will need to start paying reasonable rents again.

“The resurgence payment, as it is, just simply doesn’t work. It’s a one size fits all.”

The Ministry of Health has put out guidelines for restaurants including separate toilets for outdoor and indoor customers.

Some owners say this would mean having to put portaloos on the footpath near outdoor diners.
