Calls for the Government to offer a relief package to businesses in the hospitality sector.

A new survey reveals the industry's being hammered by coronavirus - with some restaurants reporting losses of up to 60 percent.

An estimated $6 million is being lost per week by hospitality businesses.

Restaurant Association of New Zealand CEO Marisa Bidois told they haven't had much response from the Government, and it's about time they provided assistance.

"We are open to different relief package ideas - but something really needs to be done for the industry."

The hospitality industry contributes more than $11 billion per year to the New Zealand economy.
