Millennials may change the way New Zealanders look at what represents Kiwiana.

Globalisation may be a major influence on how people are beginning to look at what's seen as typically Kiwi, as people begin to identify with different cultures.

The study will be looking at people between the ages of 20 and 40, to get their views on what they think it is.

AUT researcher Lindsay Neil, told Mike Hosking Kiwiana is evolving.

"Kiwiana kind of reflects identity and migration is increasing so identities are changing. People are becoming more multi-cultural and aware of that."
