Green Party downplaying reports some members are threatening to leave the party if Julie Anne Genter is voted in as co-leader.
We'll find out on Sunday whether she or Marama Davidson will share the top job with James Shaw.
Green Party co-convener John Ranta told Mike Hosking he's heard the same reports.
"I think we'd have to say it's just a sign of the passion out there with regards for what is a very important decision for the party."

However, anyone hoping for an early scoop on who the next leader of the Green Party is will be disappointed.
Ranta says votes are being filed electronically with the party's general secretary and she'll be counting them up once voting closes on Saturday at 5pm and the result will be announced at 11am on Sunday.
He says because of the localised nature of the voting, no one will have a clue who's winning and who's not.
