You could argue New Zealand made television is going through a bit of a renaissance at the moment.   

We've had plenty of critically acclaimed shows hit the screen over the past few years - including The Gulf, Westside, and Creamerie.  

One of the new kids on the block is TVNZ drama, One Lane Bridge.  

Season two is dropping as we speak - and it stars the prolific Joel Tobeck.  

He, of course, is known from Shortland Street, Xena: Warrior Princess and the Lord of the Rings franchise.
