Some of the glitz and the glam is back for the Melbourne Cup today.  

It's not exactly the usual six figure crowd but 10 thousand spectators will be lining the rail at Flemington for the race that stops the nation.  

We have Kiwi representation too - jockey James McDonald riding on Kiwi horse Verry Elleegant.  

They have a tall order to get past the clear favourite Incentivise - but James is coming off a four-win weekend and is back on the reigning Australian Horse of the Year.
