Norwegian Electric Vehicle Association secretary general Christina Bu said rapid charging of electric vehicles was partly funded by the government in Norway at first.

"But now we see that this market is slowly developing, and we see now that some of the biggest operators are also putting money into this themselves."
Bu said nearly 100,000 electric cars are now on the roads in Norway.
