Federated Farmers Miles Anderson joins Mike Hosking to talk about the Government's admission around delays in tracing cattle infected with Mycoplasma Bovis.
Such delays likely caused the disease to spread, which has meant 1100 extra properties had to be contacted because follow up testing did not happen fast enough.
The eradication progress report has been asked to be brought forward to see what the mistakes have cost them.
Anderson says it is quite a shock, and there is a constant message from farmers that the ministry does not communicate well with them.
"There are mistake being made I guess, but they're looking to improve."
Anderson says the fundamental issues is there's a lack of people on the ground that are capable of doing the jobs asked of them.
