Emotions are running high after the death of Green MP Efeso Collins.Â
The 49-year-old died after collapsing at a charity event in Auckland yesterday.Â
Community leader David Letele was at the event and told Mike Hosking that he spent yesterday reflecting.Â
He spent the day with his family because life is fragile, and we have to treasure every moment.Â
Parliament has adjourned until Tuesday and the Green Party has approached the Speaker about having some bereavement leave for some of its MPs.Â
Collins is set to be replaced by Lawrence Xu-Nan, who ran in the Epsom electorate for the Greens at the election.Â
