The arts need support now more than ever. 

A fortnight ago, Creative New Zealand was allocated five million dollars to provide short-term support to the arts and culture sector. 

Royal New Zealand Ballet board chair Dame Kerry Prendergast told Mike Hosking things are still very tough. 

Prendergast says they're going to film it, like they did last year, so families can watch at home for 15 to 20 dollars.
