A student has claimed cheating during online exams at Auckland University is widespread -- with students gathering on group calls to discuss answers.
The university is investigating after being alerted to the issue and has warned tutors to be extra vigilant around academic misconduct.
Universities New Zealand executive director Chris Whelan told Mike Hosking things are going to need to be tightened up.
“The eight universities vice-chancellors for academic meet every month or so, this will be an item at the top of their next agenda.”
