Wanaka's ski resorts aren't holding up hopes for a trans-Tasman travel bubble injecting Aussie skiers on the slopes.
Cardrona and Treble Cone will instead look for domestic skiers and board riders to get them through Alert Levels 2 and 1.
Manager Bridget Legnavsky told Mike Hosking Aussie visitors are unlikely to come this season.
Legnavsky says Kiwi skiers account for 60 percent of the ski areas' visitors.
She says they're banking on patronage from Wanaka skiers in a Level 2 scenario.
