The fatal stabbing of an Auckland dairy worker is being described as inevitable and entirely preventable.
An offender entered Sandringham's Rose Cottage Superette about 8 last night, armed with a knife and took the cash register.
The worker was stabbed, later dying in hospital from his injuries. Â
The offender is currently on the run.
