Trump's lawyers argue that prosecution opens a "Pandora's box"

A Washington DC appeals court is hearing arguments over whether Donald Trump is immune from prosecution for his actions after the 2020 election. 

Trump looked on as his legal team sought to convince a panel of three judges that former presidents should not be prosecuted for actions they took in office. 

He argues he was working in his official capacity as President to ensure election integrity. 

US Correspondent Richard Arnold told Tim Dower that Trump's lawyers have argued that prosecuting a former president would open a Pandora's box. 

He says Trump's in the hearing room today, where the panel is hearing his bid to have the case thrown out, but they seem sceptical.
