It's a skill possessed by only one or two percent of the population.
But it has real uses, and police are being urged to use super recognisers and make this talent a recognised part of forensic intelligence.
Mike Neville is with the UK's Association of super-recognisers. He helped to set up a unit within Scotland yard, and is now consulting all over the world.
He joins Tim Dower to explain how it all works.
