Should you lease or buy your next car? Is the answer neither?
Turners Automotive is planning to introduce a subscription service to New Zealand where you can drive around in the car of your choice without having to commit to it long term.
It would be one of the first in New Zealand, after similar schemes have launched in America and Europe.
CEO Todd Hunter told Heather du Plessis-Allan says that this is an alternative way of accessing and owning a car.Â
"It's a monthly subscription where you access the car and have the chance to switch it out every month."
The subscription will come with the registration and the Warrant of Fitness, with customers only paying for petrol.Â
Hunter wants to make it easy for customers to swap over, so the car will be brought to you if you choose to switch.
He says that millennial drivers are likely to benefit but it is not just for them.Â
"This is for anyone who wants flexibility in their life and may not want to commit to a certain type of car for a lengthy period."
