Revelations women are being turned away from a private Christchurch Hospital whist in labour, because of staffing shortages.
Newstalk ZB understands at least one labouring woman was sent from St George’s Hospital to Rangiora last night and her midwife missed her birth.
Incoming Chair of the College of Midwives Sheena Ross says this is the most stressful outcome.
