Meghan Markle's father says he posed for paparazzi photos to change how he was being portrayed.

The Princess-to-be's father will no longer walk her down the aisle when she marries Prince Harry on Saturday, after the photo revelations, and then suffering a heart attack.

TMZ's Sean Mandell broke the story.

He says Thomas Markle told him he didn't take up the paparazzi's offer because of money - he wanted to be depicted as a loving, caring father.

"People were offering in between $50,000 and $100,000 for interviews, and he turned them all down during the period where Meghan and Prince Harry's romance was public."
