There is concern from a Pasifika leader that Covid-19 conspiracy theories are putting people in danger.
A virus sub-cluster in Auckland has been linked to Mt Roskill's Evangelical Fellowship Church.
There have been reports online misinformation has led some followers astray, making them doubt the science of Covid.
The Pacific Leadership Forum's Pakilau Manase Lua told Heather Du Plessis Alan he's disappointed.
"They should think of others, not only themselves. The spread that's happening now is putting others lives at risk."
Pakilau Manase Lua says a lot of the conspiracy theories come from overseas.
'Some theories about the virus being a hoax have a religious tinge, which sadly resonates with a lot of Maori and Pasifika church communities."
