British MPs are pushing for workplace policies to protect women who are going through menopause.
They say it takes a hefty personal and professional toll on as many as one in four women.
It's become a cross-party issue in the UK, with MPs saying a menopause policy should be as commonplace as maternity schemes.
Mary Crooks is the executive director of the Victorian Women's Trust in Melbourne, which already has a menstrual and menopause leave scheme in place.
She joined Mike Yardley to discuss how such a scheme works.
