Protesters are adamant they didn't throw acid at Police officers at Wellington's protest.
It’s alleged a video has emerged of an officer rubbing his eyes, moments after another officer used pepper spray.
Protesters assert that's the unknown substance Police claim was thrown at them.
Protest liaison Leighton Baker told Heather du Plessis-Allan it was accidental friendly-fire.
“Just because if it was acid, it would’ve severely burnt the officer's eyes and face which is what acid does, rather than pepper spray which can be rinsed out and treated pretty quickly.”
