John Key said Auckland businesses are in a constant state of worry as the lockdown continues to stretch on.
Speaking on a New Zealand Initiative webinar this morning the former Prime Minister said many people's businesses are under enormous pressure.
He says the feeling on the ground in Auckland is one of great anxiety with businesses having a palpable feeling of fear.
Auckland is now in its twelfth week of lockdown.
Key say it's critical the Government names a date as to when things will go back to normal.
He said the housing market's red hot run is coming to an end.
"The rapid rise in house prices is not sustainable and it can’t and will not continue.”
