The Deputy Prime Minister says Aucklanders should be "very confident" about moving to the new traffic light system soon.

All three of the region's DHBs have met the 90 percent first dose vaccination rate.

Grant Robertson told Heather du Plessis-Allan there's a strong expectation Auckland will move to the new framework around November 29.

He says that gives three weeks for people to get their second dose.

“We really do want people to be getting ready and that’s one of the reasons why we’ve been clear that as soon as it clicks over to the 90 per cent we can do that. We set the 29th as a check-in because we wanted to make sure that we weren’t holding anyone up unnecessarily.”
