You may have come across a website that is hoping to add a few hard details into everyday discussion. 

It's called thefacts.nz and is aimed at injecting facts into debate about life in New Zealand.  

This week's fact is a sobering stat about the number of murder convictions, that has increased by 148% year on year, and attempted murders increased 164%.
