Calls for tougher penalties around drone misuse, after a near miss at Auckland Airport.
A fully-loaded Air New Zealand flight from Japan was put at risk, after a drone flew five metres away from the aircraft on Sunday.
It's the second time this month drones have interfered with flights.
Air New Zealand's Captain David Morgan told Larry Williams the $5,000Â max fine isn't enough of a deterrent.
"Air New Zealand wants to see a regulatory regime that manages these drones properly, so a significant increase in penalties for the use of drones [and] putting people at risk."
