The Covid-19 Response Minister's staying tight-lipped on the length of our lockdown.  

The Government yesterday put Auckland and the Coromandel into Alert Level Four for a week, and the wider country for three days.  

We have 10 cases of the Delta strain in the community, including the initial case found in Devonport yesterday.  

These people include a teacher at Avondale College in Auckland, and a nurse at Auckland hospital. Some of these people had been to Sky City Casino on Saturday night and church on Sunday. 

They all have the Delta strain, but while it's not clear where the first case came from, genomic sequencing has shown the strain has come from New South Wales.  

Covid 19 Response Minister Chris Hipkins says they are expecting more cases.

But Heather du Plessis-Allan had another question for him: why hasn't Ashley Bloomfield got his covid jab, now that he's eligible?
