Bearded cops aren't allowed to work on the frontline during our country's Covid-19 outbreak.

Police officers are being asked to remove their facial hair so their high-end masks work more effectively against Covid-19.

Police Association president Chris Cahill told Heather du Plessis-Allan they back the move.

“It’s a health and safety issue. The last thing we want is for our members to be putting themselves, their families or members of the public at risk because they’re spreading it because the masks aren’t deployed properly.”
