It's only day one for Chris Hipkins, but questions are already being asked on whether he can turn the tide.
He spoke for the first time wearing his PM cap today, saying he will work to deliver on bread and butter issues important to New Zealanders.
Labour has slipped 22.5 percent in the polls over the past two years.
