A further hit for dairy farmers today with the news mycoplasma bovis has been found in the Waikato.
Last week, MPI officials informed politicians the focus may have to be changed from eradicating the disease to containing it.
Waikato Federated Farmers President says he's expecting the disease to spread further.
"With all the cattle movements we have it certainly won't be the last case we hear of i don't think."
Andrew McGiven says there will be a lot of cattle lost if eradication is determined the best method moving forward.
