Trade Minister Todd McClay is meeting with his UK counterpart Lord Price ... just a day before the finale of the British and Irish Lions tour.

Trade expert Stephen Hoadley told Andrew Dickens it's likely the main reason for the visit is the rugby, but it's also a sign moves are being made toward a trade deal.

"The Brits are desperate to get some kind of free trade arrangements going because as they leave the European Union, suddenly they will find themselves more isolated."
